Job Title: Salesforce.com Developer 

Function:  IT

Department: IT

Reports to:  Director of Information Management

 

Job Summary:

The Salesforce.com Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, testing, deploying, and supporting solutions for the company using appropriate tools and technologies.  Because this role is customer-facing, the Developer must be able to communicate well with clients who have varying technical abilities as well as the ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into a technical reality that is extendable and maintainable.  Our ideal candidate will have strong enterprise business process and project management skills as well as systems integration experience. They will also need to work with management to design and implement forecasts, reports and dashboards as well as manage data loads and data quality.

 

Scope of Authority:

 Accountability: Responsibilities  % of Time

50% Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality business solutions on the Force.com platform   
20% Participate in cross-functional teams that address strategic business issues to support additional business processes or functions       
10% Support and train new and existing users on the salesforce.com application                            
10% Maintain multiple user roles, security, profiles, workflow rules, etc.              
10% Optimize user experience of Reports, Dashboards, and Content areas        

 

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

BS degree preferred
Salesforce.com development or administration experience
Salesforce.com Development or Administration Certification
Knowledge:
Salesforce.com integration experience (Force.com Platform, API, Apex Code, Visualforce, Apex Mobile, etc…)
Knowledge of data management, SQL and RDBMS technologies, SOA design principles
Relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, etc…)
Web Development (HTML, XHTML, Javascript, AJAX, CSS, Flash, XML, etc…)
Object-oriented programming (Java, C++, etc…)

Skills & Abilities :

Experience developing and delivering solutions to real customer problems, preferably with an emphasis on Sales, Customer Service, and/or Marketing issues
Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Must be self-motivated with strong troubleshooting skills and know when to seek guidance.
Proactive team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to execute on goals with minimal supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage time effectively, to work under time pressure, to meet schedules and deadlines, to multi-task, to plan, organize and prioritize work assignments and pay close attention to detail.

Physical Requirements :

Travel 10% of the time if needed
Works flexible hours to avoid impact to production systems and project deliverables.
